I am a licensed social worker in the state of Ohio. I have worked in the field of mental health for 5 years. My approach is client-centered, and I enforce that you are the expert of your life. I am there to help you facilitate growth in your life and your relationships. I also want to acknowledge and incorporate your culture and identity into our treatment, as those are crucial aspects of who we are. My clientele is mostly high achieving women of color, however I do see men and those age 14 and up.
I have worked in the field of mental health for 5 years with various populations such as intimate partner violence, survivors of sexual violence, and adults with persistent mental illness. Areas that I am passionate about are interpersonal relationships, grief, and trauma. I also have experience working with individuals with depression and anxiety.

Shannon Nixson, MA LPC, Therapist
Shannon D. Nixson, MA, LPC graduated from Xavier University with her Masters in Community Mental Health. She completed her undergraduate work at Wilmington College and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She has been licensed in the State of Ohio to practice counseling since 2011 She is skilled in multiple psychotherapy modalities and utilizes dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, and cognitive restructuring dynamics. Shannon enjoys working with adult women and adolescent youth (ages 14-17). Shannon is native to Cincinnati, Ohio and enjoys serving youth and families in her community.
Mirey Taite, MSW LSW, Therapist
Mirey Taite is a Licensed Social Worker and Ohio native. She acquired her Master of Social
Work degree from The Ohio State University. Prior to that, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Family Science as well as Social Work from Miami University (Oxford).
Mirey has experience working with clients affected by trauma, anxiety, depression, low
self-esteem, and grief. Throughout the course of her professional career, she has also supported those facing interpersonal and adjustment-related challenges. While she has previously worked (and will continue to work) with individuals and families, she is excited to begin seeing couples. Mirey is passionate about strengthening relationships, promoting healthy communication, and advancing intimacy.
Mirey’s therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy and genuine connection. She is committed to creating a safe space for vulnerability, exploration, expression, and healing. Mirey is known to explore attachment, regulation, and trauma integration with her clients. She also implements Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and other modalities in session. Mirey’s enthusiasm for growth and holistic wellness fuels her passion for mental health.
Angela Fox, MA LPC, Therapist
My name is Angela Fox and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Psychology with a Criminal Justice Track from the University of Cincinnati in 2009. I continued on to receive my Master's in Mental Health Counseling in 2011 from UC as well, then went on to obtain my second master's in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School for Professional Psychology in 2014.
I have worked with clients with developmental disabilities, forensic clients, child welfare/children services and outpatient therapy with individuals ages 3+ and up. I will soon be specializing in grief therapy working with adults and adolescents.
